Vicky Bentley has been a missionary in Africa for over 20 years. Her husband, Wes Bentley, is the founder and director of Far Reaching Ministries. In 2005, she founded Far Reaching Ministries Aviation.
The heart of her ministry is to disciple women and children with the Word of God and help them in their struggle to survive in South Sudan and Uganda. The women’s Bible study is called, “Rabuna Fi,” meaning “God is here,” in Arabic. That is how the ladies greet and encourage one another.
As the women seek Him first, He faithfully provides for all their needs. One of the ways they can earn an income is learning to run their own business by attending and graduating from the tailoring school. Literacy classes have also been established to empower the women to grow in their walk with the Lord. Another project called Love Covers was borne out of the women from the tailoring school who want to minister to other families. They, along with volunteer teams from various churches and the Chaplaincy Program, have brought the Gospel to thousands of children. This has given the children the opportunity to attend school by providing them with the necessary uniforms and school materials.
Vicky passionately shares the Word of God with women all over the world, desiring to see their walk with the Lord on a solid foundation. She has been the keynote speaker at women’s conferences in Russia, Nepal, South Sudan, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and throughout the United States. She and her husband, Wes, were featured on Focus on the Family with Dr. James Dobson in 2005, sharing on the Cost of Discipleship. Her favorite verse is from II Corinthians 4:8-9, “We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.” [website HERE]

She has helped plant churches, served as a worship leader, and as a women’s ministry director. Currently she serves in Louisiana with her husband Ron (married in 1984), as a missionary to the military as a chaplain’s wife, appointed by the North American Mission Board (1991).
